Farmer’s Market and Bell

OKbell

A few weeks ago I learned that our city is having a Farmer’s Market this summer. I have been very excited ever since I heard there would be one so near my home. I love fresh veggies and fruit and was really looking forward to getting some today.

Not knowing the planned opening day (today) had been postponed until next Saturday I took off early this morning to purchase some fresh veggies and fruits. There were two men standing in the parking lot, one I knew one I didn’t know. We had a nice conversation and the man I did not know gave me some celery and green onions.

Awhile after getting back home there was a knock at the door. My son and daughter in-law brought me an ear of corn, a tomato and a peach. They had gone to a roadside veggie and fruit stand. I enjoyed a yummy tomato sandwich and that sweet juicy peach right after they left. They also brought me a bell from Oklahoma…that has special meaning to me.

The trip and getting out early was not a disappointment, very much the opposite and I received fresh veggies and fruit without spending one cent. I just never know from one minute to the next where and how I am going to be blessed. I hope that those who blessed me today will be blessed also.

And I hope all that read this post will be blessed in a special and unexpected way this weekend.
