Thinking Back and Doldrums

Many years of memories flooding my mind this time of year.  He would have been 90 the 30th of this month. He will be gone two years the 21st of next month. Still miss him so very much but I am so thankful for all the wonderful memories he left me with.

I will get back to visiting blogs and friends and family on Facebook soon but right now I am staying busy with new projects that I am enjoying while thinking of all the good times with my sweet Shug.

  1. I so understand. We miss them tremendously while being grateful for the memories. For me, both his birthday (would have been his 65th) and my birthday recently were quite difficult without my hubby…and then will come many more special days linked to special memories.

  2. Taking time to do what is dear to your heart is a good and wonderful thing. Our hearts are made for love, and yours was made for your Shug. Blessings to you.

  3. We love this picture of you and your Shug. Sending you love and hugs, Mags. Enjoy those projects, and we’ll see you when you’re back.

  4. Hard to believe it is almost 2 years since Shug left you. You are one brave woman & I admire you for your strength & faith. I still get angry at Kevin every so often. I wish he were here to help me. How selfish do I sound?? I miss our life together. Even when I could not walk; he was there for me & always treated me like a Queen.
I am glad you have so many memories to comfort you Maggie!
    Much love & {{{hugs}}} Sherri-Ellen ❤ ❤

  5. He was a handsome man. So thankful that you have the wonderful memories of such a great man. I hope you find peace and comfort in those memories. Hugs and love my friend.

  6. Ahhh Maggie. Dear woman. You and Shug shared such an amazing life. I can only imagine how much you miss his companionship especially this time of year. Sending my warmest hugs for you and soft pets for Chancy and Pooh

  7. Don’t think I have ever seen that picture of you two. Such a good looking couple. Birthdays and holidays are the toughest times but to have so many wonderful memories is a blessing. Sending warm hugs.

  8. I feel for you dear Mags. My dear hubby would have been 80 on the 13th, and I found it to be a very sad and difficult week. He has been gone just over a year now and some days are harder than others. Trying to let go of the grief and hold on to the love. Hugs. Jane

  9. Posting a wise and beautiful thought from VP Joe Biden … on my blog tomorrow, it speaks some to the passing years and times of grief we pass through … my heart is with you Maggie.

  10. Take time for you to soothe your heart, Sweet Sis. Those memories are precious and you need to enjoy them. We are always here for you. Love the picture of you and Shug ❤ Sending warm hugs and love.

  11. Love & hugs!! My Joe just turned 80 and I am treasuring each day with him. He is 14 years older than me. I know you will find peace in your wonderful memories and urge you to take all the time you need. Know that we are thinking of you and sending love your way1

  12. Hugs dear Mags. It’s difficult getting through every day and especially anniversaries and holidays when we loose someone we love. It will be one year since my daughter Nicole passed away in October. I miss her every day. Not one day goes by without me thinking of her. Somehow we get through.
    Hugs, I’m thinking of you.
