    1. He was so funny but I felt sorry for him, it was so hot that day. He gave me a big smile and giggle when I saw him flattened out on that block. Hugs

      1. Right back to you 💜 I don’t know if I shared before…but I had a little squirrel friend…he/she was named Blondie (because of a big bushy tail that looked like it was dipped in bleach) and I would sit on my deck eating cheese popcorn while studying for school. By semester’s end little Blondie would sit right next to me and I would hand her pieces of popcorn! Your picture brought back fond memories 😉
Thanks, Maggie. Hope you are still finding amazing things in your world 💜

        1. Awww, thank you so much for sharing that with me. They are amazing little critters and so much fun to watch and interact with. I am doing well and enjoying life. You are welcome and I am glad the picture brought back fond memories for you. Hugs ❤

  1. UGH Maggie we are in the midst of a heat wave that is putting us up in the 90’s with Humidex’s making it feel over 100 F degrees!!! I can’t even walk Siddhartha Henry during the day. My Asthma is playing up. And I get so dizzy…..
So he will have to wait til after supper….I am so hoping the rain comes soon!!!
That squirrel is adorable & very clever!
    ❤ & {{{hugs}}} Sherri-Ellen

    1. The weather is unseasonably hot here too. Today is supposed to be the hottest day so far with the themp being at the 100 mark or above with heat index between 105 and 115. Stay cool and I hope you are feeling better. Hugs

      1. How do you cope with such temps Maggie? Do you have an A/C unit?? I’m on ground floor; no basement so that helps somewhat. I have ceiling fan & vertical tower fan & tabletop fan. When the humidity hits; it hits HARD tho’. I was so hoping for a rainy coolish Summer, lol…..

        1. Yes, I have AC a central unit that does a very good job of keeping my home nice and cool when it is so hot and humid outside. The humidity is what makes it so uncomfortable outside and we have a lot of it here. Stay cool this summer we may be in for a pretty hot one.

          1. We keep getting conflicting reports on our upcoming Summer here Maggie!! Supposedly we are going to have a warm & rainy Summer like we had back in 1992. That would be lovely….whether it really happens or not is another story!!
I’m relieved you have Central A/C Maggie!

  2. These are such adorable photos, Mags! Those little do look like they’re in summer mode. 🙂

  3. Help I am smiling and I can’t stop. these are amazing and adorable. I love squirrels, bob doesn’t.

    1. When I saw the one on the block by the car tire it made me giggle. Happy the photos gave you a smile. You certainly give me a lot of smiles with some of your blog posts.

  4. Love those spread out squirrels. You really caught them at rest. I am so delighted that I now after 14 years here I finally have my very own resident squirrel. Yes!!
Stay cool, we are looking at near 100 this week. Yuck.

    1. I am so happy for you that you now have a resident squirrel. Yep, I think today is supposed to be the hottest so far with heat index 105 to 115. I am not looking forward to summer if what we have had lately is a taste of what is to come. You stay cool too.

  5. Your little critter is skilled in finding cool spots! And cute 🙂 We have it a bit cooler here right now as it has been overcast for several days, but I know it will be hot as soon as the sun comes out again. Many hugs and kisses from Dylan and me to you all.

    1. Glad to hear you have some cooler weather, just getting hotter here and it is still officially spring. I feel sorry for the critters when it is so hot. They do manage to make it though.

  6. Those are the most relaxed squirrels I have ever seen. Our squirrels around here, no matter the temperature are always scurrying about. Unless, of course, we are walking at the park, then we see the little beggars. They have no fear of people, and love to come up and beg for food. They love pecans. Love your pictures, as always. Hugs!

    1. I am glad you enjoyed the pictures. I would really enjoy a stroll in the park and taking pecans to the squirrels. The ones here love pecans and peanuts and of coarse the birdseed. lol

    1. Yes, it is and my yard man saw a snake in my backyard when he came to mow and trim my grass. He did not know what kind it was. Chancy and I are cautious when we are outside now. The snake came from under the storage shed next door. We won’t bother the snake and hope the snake will not bother us.

  7. It was warm here too and I wish I had time to spread myself like that and take it easy in the shade like your cute squirrels, lol. One of them must be a fighter and wear a battle scar with part of his ear missing. It’s an easy way to ID him.

Squirrels are fun to watch and they are very entertaining.
Take care and enjoy what’s left of Spring cause Summer is coming fast.
    Hugs, Julia

    1. I know you could really use some rest and relaxation sweet Julia after all you have been through and are still going through. I hope that can happen for you soon.

Yes, the little squirrel with the battle scarred ear was here for 3 years but I have not seen it this year.

I hope everything is back in order for you very soon and you can get back to a normal routine in life. Hugs

  8. These are cute photos of the “cool” squirrels! We’ve had one on our deck this afternoon. Hope you have a pleasant evening.

    1. Thank you. They were cooling in any way that they could find to do so. I felt sorry for them but at the same time had to giggle because they were so cute.

  9. Great pics to gladden my heart, Sis ❤ You've captured the squirrels of summer at their cutest 🙂

    1. When my pictures gladden your heart sweet Sis it makes me happy. I love sharing the critters at my place with you. ❤
